The growing market of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) poses new challenges for testing and characterization of ever more complex circuits both in the context of R&D and production. APEX Technologies offers high performance optical instruments based on interferometry technology to address those. Technical R&D project leader, Dr. Tomy Marest is in charge for the development of optical sensing technology and instruments at APEX Technologies where he is currently leading the company's first optical reflectometers project. Since 5 years, he is involved in software, signal processing, hardware and product developments. In 2018, he received a Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Lille, France, in the field of ultrafast non-linear optics at the PhLAM laboratory.
